Walking With Strangers review

Posted : 10 years, 9 months ago on 23 July 2013 04:36 (A review of Walking With Strangers)

This album has to be my favorite of all The Birthday Massacre releases. I also have it on my top 25 best albums of 2007. "Walking With Strangers" stands out as a very well crafted collection of music. From "Kill The Lights", "Falling Down", "Red Stars", "Looking Glass", "To Die For" and "Walking With Strangers" being the highlights of the album. Honestly there is not a weak song on the entire album. I would rate the music a solid A, lyrics an A- and the vocals being an A+. This album is dark in all the right places and reserved when it needs to. For those who had been a fan of "Violet", you will not be disappointed. The songs are just as brilliant and catchy as any of their previous efforts. I find myself playing this album from start to finish every time I listen to it. For anyone who has not taken the time to hear what The Birthday Massacre has to offer, you are missing out. These Canadian rockers have a unique sound which you will find strangely additive. Worth having in any essential rock collection. Strongly recommend to anyone who hasn't had the time to listen to. Any fans of rock; hard, metal, alternative, electro, or progressive; will enjoy this album. "Walking With Strangers" is absolutely the definitive Birthday Massacre record.
